September 15, 200223 yr Hi AllI did a search in the File Library under FS2002Aircraft for a Piper Archer but all I got was 3 pages of skins, mostly for the Dreamfleet Piper Archer II. Don't know why these were in the aircraft section, and not under repaints. Anyway, I was just looking for a Piper Archer to download and couldn't find one. Can anyone help?ThanksJason
September 15, 200223 yr HiJust been looking for a DC3 now. Only one file came up. What's going on? Is it me or have there been some radical changes at AVSIM over the last 6 months or so?I've been away for a while.jason
September 15, 200223 yr I'd recommend purchasing the Dreamfleet Piper Archer II. It's really a great aircraft. :DRyan-Flightpro08 :-coolVATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com Scenery Designer-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 40.41 Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 11298
September 15, 200223 yr I can thoroughly recommend the DreamFleet Archer - worth every penny/cent, and numerous liveries available. However if you really need a free alternative, Precision Sim Designs have some excellent Piper Warrior IIs that are a very close cousin to the Archer. See below:http://www.psd.avsim.net/warrior_II.htm
September 15, 200223 yr Try doing a search for R4D - you'll get listings for all the files for the MAAM R4D-6, originally for FS98/FS2000 and fully updated for FS2002. This is currently the definitive R4D/DC-3 and the one all Dakota fans fly. There is to be an all-new FS2002 GMAX version arriving sometime soon, but there's very little wrong with the above - still one of the best planes around.
September 15, 200223 yr Here's a nice Cherokee built off of the default AI Cherokee. It flies very nicely, IMHO. The only reason I would recommend it over the PSD Warrior is because the panel and cockpit are very similar to the real Warrior I flew this weekend.http://ftp.avsim.com/library/sendfile.php?DownloadID=15446http://ftp.avsim.com/library/sendfile.php?DownloadID=15472Of course, now we're two generations off your request ... :)
