Real World Weather

Featured Replies

I've been flightsimming for years now but I've started to take real flying lessons and im now trying to make the flightsimming experience more realistic. Things are fine except for the weather. I can download general weather but that doesn't out things in much detail, like the barometer. Local weather works good but it only extends about 10 miles from the airport so that is useless for an actual. Is there any way to get the weather for a large space that includes the barometer? I don't even care if its the real weather, just something that makes something that would be realistic. I'm not sure if there are any programs that could do that but if there are please let me know.Kyle

Yes, in FS go to weather and click on 'download real-world weather'. This covers the entire world, although the weather outside North America can be a bit off. It will be entered as local weather, as it's highly unlikely that the weather conditions are identical throughout the entire world...Cheers,Gosta.

Hey Kyle, try FSMetro http://www.fsmeteo.com/ it is payware, but it is supposed to be very good! Let me know how it works for you if you do, I have been thinking of giving it a try. Fantastic, on the real flying lessons!! I can't wait till I can afford that! saving for some other things first. ;-)

Best, Michael
