Hi Page,The "mysterious" Page C. Cline hereLOL! Hope you didn't take any offence. Thanks for looking into LIRF. I had intended contacting you but it was no 6 in the list of things to do .Cheers,

Hi Ray,Just got back from Rome. Used my trusty Cessna 182 and went to where you got the bouncing. Sure enough, there it was. So tried my regular fix that I do for aprons but it didn't work. So...I tried something else, and I think I got rid of the bounce. I'll e-mail you my fix, and if you will, check it out. If it works, then we're on to something.

I'm pleased to report that Page has created a fix for LIRF and I can now taxi to 16R without problem. I'd like to thank Page for his efforts in identifying and solving this problem. For those of you who have similar problems you might wish to post them at a new thread I've started - "Bumpy taxiways problems". Page is happy to start a new project for troublesome taxiways but please be specific about which part of the taxiway is causing the problem.Another happy ending :-)Cheers,

Hi Page,I suspect this 'bumpy taxiway' problem will equal the apron one :-)I had the problem with add-on scenery from a well known UK designer but soon after the problem was mentioned he produced a fix.I understand that it involves putting a 'hard' layer under the airport, but not being a scenery designer I can't be sure on that.It does seem strange that the problem affects default scenery as well as add-on and I don't remember having the problem in FS2k.Rgds

Hi VulcanNoting by your signature, why ain't you in bed? You're right about the fix. Not hard to do, but apparently necessary. My apron fixes are of the same ilk. Myself, I wasn't aware of the problem until I came across this thread. So, when I contacted Ray, it turned out that the fix wasn't that hard to do. I don't think this problem is as prevalent as the bleedthru problem with aprons or disappearing taxilines. Anyway, if you've read the first part of this thread, others have had the same problem. Fixable. I'm always on call.Take care,

Hi Vulcan,First of all, I suspect that this fix will be mainly for fixing bouncing on addon sceneries. There's not that many airports in default sceneries that have the problem. What I've been doing is hardening the complete airport because I don't know where designers are putting their taxiways, etc. This should eliminate dirt & dust arising while on taxiways too.Get your list of bumpy airports and let me know.Of course with thousands of addon sceneries, there's no way I'll get to them all by FS2004!
