September 26, 200223 yr Hi,during my last flight from EDDM to KIAD as UA 963 on my PIC/Opensky 767 I used for the first time real weather with FSMeteo.Unfortunatelly "as real as it gets" together with Simflyers KIAD my frames on approach dropped to 8-9! Seems as time moved to fast again and my old AMD 1,4GHz C Athlon needs an update! So now on to my question: I checked a lot of hardware sites weather to buy an AMD prozessor again or to go back to good old Intel! I would like to know which on is better for flightsimming. :-zhelp The choice is between the P4 2,53Ghz and the Athlon XP 2200+ or if it will arrive in Germany someday the new 2400+ ?!Any comments would be very welcome! By the way I think my pretty new IBM 80GB HD and my GeForce 3 Ti200 with 128MB should be able to stay some more time? Thanks, Toby Regards, Tobias Kister
September 26, 200223 yr Check this link out!http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/01q4/011031/I upgraded to a XP2200+ a couple of months ago, and couldn't be happier. FS2K2 runs great. For the price, AMD/DDR Ram and GF4 is by far the best choice.http://members.cox.net/pstepanoff/images/OK_c2.gifPete S
