Just to add my opinion to this discussion - ASN does the best job concerning transitions of clouds, visibility, winds ... Main reason I'm going to stay with OPUS: Cloud depiction is still completely wrong! Everywhere impressive looking cumulus while in reality you mostly would find stratus. Just do a short test while looking outside of your window and compare the visual depiction of ASN and OPUS. There still is no perfect weather software. Every software has his pros and cons depending on ones preferences. Tobias

Sounds like a really cool option! Maybe one question about AI traffic - if you speed up FS to 8x and back to normal speed FS reloads the traffic. So while using this auto compression feature FS will constantly reload my AI traffic? Thanks for your great work! Tobias

Thanks for your comments. @Darth: you're right, I wondered myself about this blue tint. Must be the REX cloud set as I don't use any ENB mods, also no postprocessing other than cut and little sharpen.

Hi guys! After reading so many positive comments about the OPUS weather engine, it ends just like always - I hate this damn hobby :lol: Took some pictures while climbing out of Leipzig during a test flight. The weather rendition looks pretty cool, especially low altitude clouds and smooth wind transitions breath once again new live into good old FSX. Tobias

As I had to move from Munich to Leipzig in real life, I took my fresh painted Lufthansa Cargo MD11 for the short trip from MUC to LEJ. Still f..... cold in central Europe, but beautiful flying conditions.Hope you like the pictures.Tobias

Hope this question has not been answered before; While trying to paint the MD11 I noticed that there are native bump and spec maps for fuselage, tail, etc. but I couldn't find any for the engine textures. Is it possible to add those textures by mayself, or has this to be coded into the model?Thanks for your help.Tobias

Hi,I've been waiting a long time for the Fokker and I can assure you that you wont regret buying it!To answer your questions, performance is amazing, on my C2D E6750 it runs smooth as silk;) They use large bitmap files to achieve the fantastic texture quality, so first time loading will take some time but no fps hit at all.The publisher Flight 1 has very good costumer support, I think you'll find any answer concerning the activation at their site http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=serviceI read about a boxed version to come, but it'll take some time.Have fun with this great addon!!!Toby

I normaly don't do this, but this scenery is absolutely amazing! No impact on the frames on my system, runs smoth as silk even with lots of AI and complex Addon planes. Can't believe it, always dreamed of a decent O'Hare. I still hate this insane activation system so, but as it worked flawles with the Zurich scenery I'll give it another try.Toby

I noticed your conversation over at the "unoffical non technical airplane forum" and the way those guys are treating their customers is a shame. There products are still full of bugs, even after Service Pack 3aIVxyz - or like they call it, the products are "ultra realistic", "very accurate", a "truly immersive sound experience" and of course "tested by active Airbus pilots and instructors".Fortunately they found the ultimate, ultra perfect way to solve the remaining problems - they are developing another product at there well known standards - the Embraer E-Jet Series. :-lol Toby

Yup, you are right. Readable but with a kind of black border. I'm no expert, what is the difference between Multisampling and Supersampling? I've been testing AA Multisampling 8xQ and AF 16x. Quality looked pretty good to me, fonts were fine.Toby

After reading so many posts about the 8800GT I decided to spent some money on that myself. I'm pretty impressed about the performance and image quality, but I have some driver problems. No AA in FS without nhancer, seems to be a known problem but nvidia didn't solve it till now. It's also a bit strange that the most recent card isn't supported with the newest driver builds. Anyway, I don't regret my buy and my old X800GTO has finaly retired:)Toby

According to many forum posts in various forums they didn't even solve one single bug of Vol 1 in the new release. You pay another time and wont get a anything but some new gauges, panel bitmaps are almost the same, they didn't even change the center post. A330 has old style CRT displays, A340-300 and -600 has the new displays, PW engines on the A330 aren't included. The exterior models are the worst I've ever seen, it's a shame to charge money for that. Save your money, maybe one day we will see a serious Airbus release for FS.Toby
