Excellent news! A high quality LEMD is long overdue - the LVFR version really doesn’t cut it in 2026.

Currently on an Alienware AW3423DWF. Had it for 3 years and absolutely love it, I couldn't go back to anything but OLED. The image quality is on another level with HDR. I never noticed any flicker using TAA. No issues with burn in either after 3 years of pretty much daily use. VRR flicker can easily be managed by sticking to a stable frame rate - it only flickers when it jumps massively across FPS and even then it's only really noticeable during dark scenes/night flights. Set a frame limit in MSFS and let GSync handle the rest and there will be no flicker. I'm now waiting for my new AW3926QW - 5K2K OLED which should be another step up in image quality. Ordered the day it was released in the UK, but seems they underestimated demand quite a bit as my current delivery date is 4 December.

I use this with the A350: JP Jump Ahead – A tool to skip long cruise segments as an alternative to simrate acceleration. - Utilities for MSFS | Flightsim.to I can get it to 8x without a single problem, but because ini's internal implementation maxes out at 4x, the fuel burn and elapsed time remain at 4x. That tool lets the user sync the fuel burn to simbrief values at any given point, so I just sync every few hundred miles. That works, apart from the A350 yelling at me that there's a fuel leak, because it doesn't understand that I used the external tool to adjust my fuel burn to correctly sync to the 8x. I've done this a few times and no issues at all with flying it at 8x, but the fact that I have to use an external tool to then fudge the fuel burn to match my flight plan and the aircraft then getting confused because of the fuel sync is just silly. It clearly shows that technically it's easily possible to implement 8x in the A350, and all ini would have to do is add that option natively and then build a proper fuel and elapsed time sync to go with the 8x. I can fly PMDG aircraft up to 16x over water and it works perfectly, so I personally think ini are just lazy to implement anything above 4x.

Thanks for everyone's opinions on how I should enjoy my hobby. Your approval of how I simulate my flights means a lot to me, so I'll just go find another hobby now to escape the shaming looks of all the real-time apostles. On a serious note, I really don't understand why some people feel the need to police how other people flight sim. If you have 16 hours to sit in front of a screen and stare at water then well done you. I have a job, a family and limited spare time. If I want to use time compression while flying over an ocean for endless hours then I really don't see how that is impacting your enjoyment of how you like to simulate your flights, but I guess people feel the need to correct other people's opinions on everything these days. I think you'll also find that "real" long haul pilots fly real planes with a crew of pilots and get paid for that. They don't sit in front of a screen and tap themselves on the shoulder for not using naughty time compression. This places makes me laugh sometimes...

Again, only up to 4x time acceleration on an aircraft that flies 16 hour routes. Why are ini allergic to 8x - PMDG have managed to do it for decades, I just don't get it.

Thanks, I noticed that it’s been a bit up and down recently with the occasional regression, but overall it’s really impressive to see how far BATC has come. Do you think we’ll ever get 24 hrs historic live traffic with navigraph, like we do for weather? I usually fly real scheduled flights when I have the time, so virtually never have the sim time match real time, but a 24 hrs historic live traffic feature would be incredible and fix that.

I previously ran x3 FG in sim and had General set to Manual / Target: FG / FPS: 120. I now want to test the new dynamic FG in SU6, but when I follow the screenshot settings it doesn't seem to recognise the native FPS pre-dynamic FG. My screen outputs 165hz and dynamic FG within MSFS SU6 achieves that no problem as the post-FG FPS. However, the native FPS displayed in AutoFPS with the above settings always show ~30, and with a 40 FPS target that keeps TLOD at lowest setting. I haven't found a way yet to see the pre-FG FPS in SU6, but when I turn off FG completely I get around 55-60 FPS native in the exact same situation. So I'm not sure why AutoFPS reads it as ~30 FPS with the above settings. Am I missing something? Thanks!

I couldn’t agree more! It’s desperately needed. I use a tool from Flightsim.to (JP Jump Ahead) nowadays. It has controls to easily set simrate to 8x and then provides a “sync to simbrief” function to correct the fuel burn via button click. It’s clunky, but it’s the best we got and it means I can fly the 350 with 8x. Ironically, it flies absolutely perfectly at 8x. I really don’t get why ini won’t implement this natively.

Do NOT install if you're still on SU5.1. It broke my cockpit views (camera jumps outside the cockpit, camera controls freeze and can't move. Spot/Drone views still working). Tried reinstalling a few times before reverting back to the last Experimental build and all is working again.

Thanks for the summary. I'm interested to see if the v2 is going to be substantial or just a big marketing stunt. I'm glad they're redoing airports that haven't been updated by other devs in a while - these days there are quite a few of those. I hope the France hint means LFPG and I'd love to see a high quality LEMD as well, but in my book Madrid isn't just a summer destination, so not sure.

I'm trying to use it with BATC, but I get no logo lights on any of the models. Such a shame, I really like the models and prefer them over FSLTL/AIG.

Make sure it’s not duplicating any waypoints - sometimes changing departures/arrivals can leave artifacts from the previously selected SID/STAR in the box. With that said - my DTG on the PMDG 777 has been quite off lately, often by about 50-100nm. At first I thought it’s adding the missed approach sectors to DTG but yesterday I flew into EGKK and it showed 40nm remaining when I was 10nm out when the missed approach didn’t have any distance values attached to it. Not sure if it’s a bug…

So true - I don't know why they're all allergic to higher sim rates or jump ahead features. I only fly PMDG long haul because I want to simulate real flights, but I don't have the time to fly 12 hours at 4x. If you build a long haul airliner, at least give us 8x/16x support. I hope Vector are taking note for their 787...
