................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Wow, now I got everyones attention...:-roll But when I kindly asked for help with an issue which each and everyone of you could help me with,...you simply shoosed to not help. :-hmmmhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID8/10872.htmlI guess that this only shows that the majority only want to get but not give ! I will ofcourse think of this when I will evaluate my be or not to be when it comes to my future FS projects....Thanks,Staffan AhlbergFreeware Flight Group

I think you are being a bit harsh on your fellow simmers, Staffan. ;-)I for one do not have AFCAD, do not fly heavies and would not know what to do with your post. I guess that was one reason you did not get a reply. The rate with which a post scrolls off the page also has to do with it, I would think, even with a 'bump'.Not many posts go totally unanswered and when it happened to you, you were just the unlucky exception in my view ;-)It would not have helped you much either when I would have answered you and told you, no, I cannot help, would it?Best regards,Francois :-outta Francois :-wave

"At home in the wild"[link:avsim.com/alaska/alaska_052.htm|Don's Alaskan Bush Charters]"Beavers Lead the Way"[link:www.avsim.com/vfr_center/mainpages/vfr_flights_main_page.htm]VFR Flight Center]"Looking Good Outside"

http://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gifhttp://www.fssupport.com/images/moose2.gif

________________________Francois A. Hi Francois,Thanks for your input, but I simply do not buy that argument. When looking at earlier threds, AFCAD problems represents a large percetage of the subjects. But since my problem was showed in the text below the headline, people simply shoosed to let it go, since it was someone who needed help. Lets just see how many will look at this thread compared with the thread where I neede help. ;-) Only 19 (nineteen) cared to take a look at the "Help" thread.Take care,Staffan Ahlberg

>Get up on the wrong side of the bed?Hi Pete,Not at all, but this disturbes me quite a lot. It clearly shows the forum and some users of freeware addons.Which has been discussed here a few times in the past months. Now, you may think this type of discussions is a waste of time, but obviously a number of excellent freeware designers (like Staffan) have a different opinion. And I do hope you realise that, without them, the flightsim community wouldn't be what it is today. And if you don't, I suggest you refrain from giving these type of responses and skip these threads instead of wasting your and our time with posts that add absolutely nothing to the discussion.Which was just the point Staffan was trying to make .....Just my thought.Rob

Sometimes the irony is odd... I spend all day teaching 12 year olds... when I go home at night I expect a 'rest' from it. Oddly, on here I sometimes don't find that at all... who said it? "The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys!"John-PaulToronto

Just for the record as this thread seems to have attracted the "who is who" of Avsim, I don

Staffan,I humbly apologise for not being able to answer your question. Yes, I did see it. Yes I MAY HAVE read it. However, I have never used afcad. I hardly know anything about it. What use to you would a reply from me have been?I find that people generally are very helpful. Sure, I have asked questions in the past and not had a reply. I guess that some people don't know the answer or simply haven't opened the post. Well, that's not a problem. I don't take it personally... nor do I ever EXPECT to have a post replied to. If someone helps, I am grateful and I say so. If not, I ask again or I bump the post in case it got missed by someone who would be able to answer. You know people don't sit on this forum ready to pounce on questions eagerly. They're browsed and to open EVERY post would be inconceivable.I doubt that your post was unread because people don't see it as interesting enough or valid enough. It simply didn't get browsed by someone who could constructively answer you.Also... if you make a personal comment or criticism about someone/something, putting a winky smiley behind it doesn't necessarily take the harsh edge off it.Anyway... I hope you see my point of view, as I do yours of course.Chill.Simon.As an addition: Can I just say that placing a big heads-up shout for new excellent freeware is obviously going to get more attention than a 'help needed' post. It doesn't really need pointing out and nor does it make anyone mean or selfish, which, I am guessing, is the point you are trying to make? If so, thanks very much for that! :(

Yo Staffan !My brother is a psychiatrist, I'm not sure he can help you with the Afcad problem, but if you need him for a more personal matter, I can always give you his number...catch my drift ?Man, I have to tell you: you really got a lot of nerve for pulling a stunt like this on the simmers community. The people on this forum have ALWAYS been very helpful as far as I'm concerned. If one of my posts isn't answered I don't make a big fuss out of it.Chill out and calm down, your post was very insulting and rude to say the least.Twister

Hi Twister,My post was by no means rude, The point was to show that the "getting" is more important than "giving".What I asked for was NOT:1. An aircraft repaint with my favourite reg numbers.2. A fully working panel with FMC.3. An exact replica scenery of my favourite airport.4. A super tweaked sound for my favourite aircraft.etc. etc. etc. What I asked for was a simple file which each and everyone of you have present in your FS2002 folder. If you think that this is asking to much....then I don

StaffanI can't be left out of this thread ... in case you think I'm ignoring THIS post of yours!Hey, friend, you do great work. You are one of us, and much cleverer than many of us. So you know damn well this is a good community. It is NOT all take, take, take. I personally have tried, amateur as I am, to answer several of your previous posts. I don't begin to understand AFCAD so what did you want here ... "Duhhhh ... I dunno"?If you're tired of these forums and FS, well that's different. But I certainly hope not.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Hi Mark,Thanks for posting. :-)You among many others have helped me a lot during the years. And I know that you also, among many others can read between my lines what I really mean with this thread. ;-) It is surely not about the *.*bgl file which can be used by AFCAD, but more of an attitude issue.I don

"What I asked for was a simple file which each and everyone of you have present in your FS2002 folder."Why didn't you give a simple file name to look for? When I read your original post and looked for a file with the name ESSA in it I came up blank and assumed it was a file specific to the AFCAD program even though you said it was a default file. I also figured if it was really a default FS2002 file, you knew enough to get it off the CD.Kurt M
