Transavia PL-12 uploaded

I came across a photo of this little plane the other day and decided I just had to make it. This has got to be the strangest looking bird I've ever seen. Proof to the world that it doesn't have to be pretty to fly. It's a barrel of fun to fly and makes a terrific bush plane. I couldn't believe when I read that this thing went into full production and over a hundred were built.I just uploaded it, so it should be available shortly.Mike Stone

I saw this ugly mass of metal on Discovery Wings long long ago. Quite interesting to see all the applications it was used in.

MikeSaw this within minutes of your uploading it and had it flying (sort of) ten minutes later. Observations:1. It's a 747, isn't it. You just lost the other four blueprints.2. You'd had twelve whiskies when you did the tail, hadn't you. You built two.3. This has to be the Michael Jackson of aeroplanes. It can't have started out like that in the designer's mind. Maybe he was Japanese and it got lost in the translation.Good on ya. Keep 'em coming. I was going to ask you about doing a Trislander but one appeared the other day, so leave that be; but a Let 410 would be REALLY nice. Incredible little plane, vastly undermodelled in flightsim. I've only ever found one in FS5, which I fly happily in FS2002, but ... gmax might improve it somewhat. Here's a real one:http://www.swiremariners.com/africafly.jpgand here's their website for all the info you'll need. You'll also find hundreds of pics at airliners.net:http://www.let.cz/index_en_flash.htmNot that I'm twisting your arm, of course ....Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Mark,1. It does kind of resemble the nose of 747 doesn't it? Looks that they started designing a narrow body 747, ran out of money after building the nose and just made the best of it.2. I thought a near-sighted engineer bolted the tail in the wrong place and they decided the easiest fix was to just put another one on the other side. Actually, the widely spaced tail booms were done to facilitate loading/unloading. A vehicle could be driven right up to the tail of the plane. It also kept the tail out of the spray path of any chemicals being dropped. 3. Believe it or not, this plane was designed by an Italian living in New Zealand. He couldn't find anyone to build it until the Aussies saw it. They loved it. It does remind me of something I saw in the movie "Mad Max".I've actually considered doing the Let 410 before. Maybe I'll have to consider it a little harder. Do I have to model the lions? In the mean time, back to the C46.Mike Stone
