Two outstanding freeware packages

Featured Replies

Hi,Didn't know where exactly to post this, so I thought this is probably the most appropriate forum.I just wanted to suggest a review for 2 FREEWARE packages:1) Stellan Hilmerbys DC9 - For those who are familiar with this package no extra words are neccesary. A realistic, comprehensive panel. An almost complete procedure simulation, and an outstanding .air file (one of the best ever).2) Project Tupolev TU-154 B2. - This one is a true hidden jem!Almost everything is customized and built from scretch for maximal realism. No less than 14 subpanels! Many groundbreaking features such as a joystick calibration and control utility to provide the most realistic responses. A fully functional analog navigation computer and MANY MANY more unique and well rendered features. The problem of cyrillic letters and words on the panel is solved by a clearly written english manual. (and a reworked manual + advanced flight computer manual + sample flight is to be published soon.)It is a real pitty that people don't get to enjoy either of these two WONDERFUL planes, which are handed out by their developers FOR FREE, just because they are unaware of their existance.A review, here on avsim, can shed some more light on these packages and hopefully increase the enjoyments of many.Best regards//Michael

Michael why don't you do the reviews and submit them for publication to AVSIM. We would be more than happy to consider them. With the release of so many freeware packages it is hard to stay up much less review all the good ones.Robert KirklandASSOCIATE PUBLISHERAVSIM

I fully agree, these two are MAJOR freeware highlights. Especially the Tu-154 has so many innovative features, it is really strange it is almost unnoticed. Would be great if there would be a review.Mike
