October 18, 200223 yr Hey everyone. I've recently started to have problem's with Igor Suprunov excellent Sabb 340 panel. About half of the time I try to start a flight with it in FS2k2, the sim never loads and I get a blank, black screen, and I have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE out of the sime. The other half of the time I try to load the panel, it will intially load, but whenever I go to look to the sdie or switch views, FS2k2 freezes and I again have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE out of FS2k2. The weird thing is that it used to work fine, and has just recently started giving me troubles. Another odd thing is that if I start FS2k2 with any other aircraft, and then select the aircraft (www.aavirtual.com's American Eagle Saab 340) that uses Igor Suprunov 's panel, the panel and aircraft work fine, and do not freesze the sim. Any ideas? (FYI, I've tried deleting my FS2002.cfg without success.)Ryan-Flightpro08 :-cool VATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com Scenery Designerhttp://members.cox.net/santracon/images/san_logo.jpg-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 30.30 Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition SP1*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 11298
October 18, 200223 yr I was about to start a new thread on this myself, but I'll add my experience to this one. I downloaded the FFG Saab and got the panel from aavirtual. When I am setting up the parameters (aircraft, location, etc), I'll randomly get a crash to desktop. I thought at first it was a corrupted file or something, due to the fact that an hour earlier we had a power flash and cut my PC off while I was in the middle of a flight. I re-installed, but still had the same problem. Upon loading up any other aircraft, this doesn't happen.
October 18, 200223 yr Guys,I haven't a clue what the problem is but would like to recommend that you speak to Igor directly. Go to www.fsnordic.net then the 'discussions' section and near the bottom you'll find Igor's forum. He's a nice guy and if there is a problem from his end, I'm sure he'll do his best to help you.Good luck!!Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
October 18, 200223 yr Ryan, there are two files which you need to delete from the Gauges folder. I dont remember which two they are exactly, but I found the issue in a thread on another flightsim site somewhere (I know this isnt helping much, but I know what your problem is and what you need to do). I did a search on google and found it fairly quickly. Try that and see if you get anything.Craig
October 18, 200223 yr Sorry Ryan, I should have checked before posting....getting rid of these should take care of it:psd_s340_thr_r.gaus340_thr_l.gauLet us know....Craig
October 18, 200223 yr In case you have problems when using the panel (i.e. FS crahes or hangs), as a simple solution just delete these 2 gauges:psd_s340_thr_r.gaus340_thr_l.gauOther than that you won't see the moving throttles after deleting these gauges, the panel works great. This Information came from Igor Suprunov himself.Note that this panel is only a 'preview' Version of an upcoming commercial product. Anyway, it's certainly a great panel!Cheers,Michael
October 18, 200223 yr Craig and Michael,Thanks! I deleted those two guages and all is well now. :DRyan-Flightpro08 :-cool VATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com Scenery Designerhttp://members.cox.net/santracon/images/san_logo.jpg-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 30.30 Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition SP1*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 11298
