What is going on with FSMeteo server lately.

Is it just me or has FSMeteo been having trouble connecting to the server. If I get lucky and do connect then I get an error or it says over 400 character can not write file. I only heard of one other report of this. Anyone else?Good thing I have ActiveSky for backup. It may become my promary weather program if this keeps happening.

Hi.........i downloaded the demo version(4.77 i think) and gave up on it as i kept getting the server down message and an eventual program crash....pity as i like the idea of being able to take a snapshot of the weather and run with it off-line...activesky fine if you have broadband, but a bit anti-social for those of us without as i don't feel happy about tying up the phoneline for longer than necessary(the mother-in-law might be trying to phone and enquire after my health......you know the problem?).............alan d kerr

Guys it's FSMeteo 5.2 is the problem. I just tried 5.1 and works as normal :-)

More than likely it is because v5.2 uses different servers than the previous versions. I believe Marc set up new servers that went online with the latest version.I haven't tried it this morning, but neither of the 5.2 servers were working yesterday. If it hasn't been resolved, I'm sure Marc and Co. are working on it.

I concur!FSMeteo has never been down for me ever before. Both 5.2 servers appear to be down. Darn it!!!!!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullerthttp://www.aavirtual.com/images/aav205_banner.gif[/img]

The bigger question is why doesn't the setting to switch to Vatsim weather work. This would be a wonderful feature if it worked.
