November 1, 200223 yr Im not too sure if I agree with some of the American airliners listed. Continental for sure is a major competitor. As continental pretty much dominate Newark they sure "steal" a lot of customers as SAS flies passengers in to Newark. I don't know about American and Delta. I would see them more as a competitor to some of the other major Europe based airlines. I agree with the European airline companies listed. I would like to add KLM though.
November 1, 200223 yr I think KLM is probably the most important competitor, because they have their hub at Schiphol, a short flight away from the main scandinavian cities from which many of the SAS long haul passengers originate. I don't think the american airlines listed are important competition as they don't fly that much to this part of europe, and SAS have few american destinations. Lufthansa would be competition if they weren't in the Star Alliance. That leaves us with BA and Air France, and maybe Singapore and Cathay on the asian routes.
