November 4, 200223 yr That's tremendous, Bear. Now THAT's "as real as it gets". Cannot believe how lousy the default looks.
November 4, 200223 yr Hy,it is the cosmos ultralight trike. Search for "cosmos" in the file library.Greetings,Danny(from germany, so please be kind about my "english")
November 4, 200223 yr WOW Nice work there Bear... Maybe I should give that one a try in Airport with Gerrish's trees... Brian
November 4, 200223 yr I think that would be great Brian, can't believe how sparse the default looks! The problem with FSSE is that you don't have the choice of seasonal changes with the trees, so its always summer time at Andover, NJ! Using Airport and Gerrish Gray trees (v3) would really change this little airport. I would imagine that you live not too far from this airport do you? (Vermont looks pretty close to New Jersey on the map...hehehehe :-lol )Bear!
November 4, 200223 yr Well.. it's not ral close but I'm sure a heck of a lot close than you are :-lol Still it's about a 7 hour drive from me but I can say I've been within 20 miles of it driving south when I do head that way. I did some looking on the web and the FBO there does flight training and a Bush pilots course including teaching how to fly on skis in the winter. They have a few shots on their website (http://www.andoverflight.com/html/home.htm) including one of their instructors giving lessons to Harrison Ford.I did a quickie (2 1/2 hours) scenery in Airport for the place... when I get it fine tuned I'll get it uploaded :-)Brian
November 4, 200223 yr That already looks great, Brian!Regards,http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jsnyder99/sigs/name.jpg
November 4, 200223 yr A warning to all of you! Do not try to land aloaded 767 there!!!LOL personal experience....
November 4, 200223 yr I recall practicing a soft field landing there, years ago, during my initial training in the -235, as they also have a parallel grass strip. It's right near where I fly out of now, KCDW, but due to the runway length and the lakes, the FBO prohibits the rentals from flying in there (they tend to be conservative in this regard). Wouldn't be a problem for me to get the Archer or Arrow or something larger in there, but since they're not my aircraft... ;-)You might want to do a search on Google about it, and perhaps find some photos of their buldings, as needless to say, I will not be flying in there to get any shots of them!It is a pretty little airport. :-)Here's a bit more info on them:Aeroflex-Andover (12N) ANDOVER, NJPrivately Owned, Public Use2 mi.
