Adding airport facility/gates with multiple runways? How

Featured Replies

I have read the instructions for adding multiple runways etc to some airports. Say Richard Mohammed's Atlanta. Is it OK to just install the main text file without adding the other 3?In other words, there are a lot of downloadable airports that you can just import without adding runways. Can I do the same with the ones with multiple runways, just not have use of other runways? Thanks,Ron

The AFCAD files that provide for use of multiple runways come in several versions, no-overlays and overlays. If a download comes with overlays, you need to install all the overlays or you will not gain the use of the multiple runways/gate management that the designer intended.Open up each AFCAD.txt file for the airport download using AFCAD. You can see how the designer designed that particular part of the airport. Open the next and observer how it was designed in relationship to the first. Continue with each part.An easy way to install all the different parts is to use AFCADInstaller. It comes with version 1.3 in the AVSIM library - afcad13.zip
