How to change textures? Texas Land Class?

Featured Replies

I'd post your question in the scenery design forum... There's quite a few experts there on updating the textures within airports. If there's no freeware offering for Texas, your best bet is purchase of the FSLandclass file which covers Texas... -John

HI Sarge,In about a week, beta 3 of the US National Landclass Project will have Texas covered. The whole beta series is freeware. You can get Beta 1 right now at http://www.fsgenesis.com. It covers most of the NE US. Beta 2 will be available in two or three days and extend the coverage to include The Great Plains. Beta 3 will extend coverage to Texas & the southeastern US.The whole country should be available for free download shortly before Thanksgiving.JustinFSG

Your landclass is great Justin. I just followed from town to town in upstate NY where I used to live. Before they were just unrecognizable blobs, now I feel like I am really there. Too bad Microsoft got some of the roads misplaced. KELM is still on the wrong side of Route 17.

Interesting question re changing Landclass around airfields etc, I suggest you contact Ian Thatcher at on his site http://oceaniasim.net/ Ian is right up with land class and I am sure he would be happy to advise you.Cheers from SydneyGreg
