Can anyone please explain to me again what the problem is when the panel appears as a black background with only gauges showing?

This means that FS2k2 can't find the panel bitmap file.Open the panel.cfg file of the aircraft with Notepad, and find the section that starts with {window00=...}.That usually starts with a statement like "file= *****.bmp"Now this file file *****.bmp is the bitmap of the panel, and should be in the same folder as the panel.cfg file.Rob

Thanks Rob - thought that was probably the problem, but thought I remembered some other answer about a year ago. My problems always occur with a panel that has worked OK in the past, but suddenly does not. Must be a corrupted .bmp file.Dave Hinson
