atc_id_color

Featured Replies

Hi all,Does anyone know how to render the atc id color invisible, other than use no id? I've repainted a cessna 172 in the colors of one at our local airport, but the atc_id is all wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks,Phil C.

there was a post lond ago about a cfg edit to remove "red text". maybe someone will remember it, but,,, if you don't want to see the id whyu not just disable it in the display section? or did i miss something? tom t

Hi tom t, Thanks for the responce, and perhaps it is me that is missing something, but how does one disable it?Phil C.

phil. in the "settings" section ,the option is in there. tom t

In the "select aircraft" menue (you know there, where you can preview the selected aircraft) there is a little window, where you can either change or disable the id number.Wolfgang

Hi Tom T and Wolfgang,I realize that the number can be deleted and therefore removing the visual appearance of a number. At that time the atc id's the plane as N700MS or something like that. What I was trying to do is eliminate the number being tatooed on the side of the aircraft and still have the atc identify the aircraft as say...November 2 7 2 3 Lima. The only way that it can be done is to render the number invisible. I recall a tutorial on it a month or two ago. It involved changing the bit map used to project the id onto the aircraft.

oh! the default a/c change i'm not sure about add-ons. tom t
