...and I don't know why. Anybody know ?RegardsGreg

Are you pushing the DELETE key? Or are you trying to update BIOS?Glen Lewis :-kewl[email protected]

Try replacing your CMOS battery, look/listen for error codes/beeps. Can you get past the BIOS screen?

Yes, I can get past the BIOS screen. This only happens occasionally and I just save without changes and it boots up fine after that. I know its not the delete key. RegardsGreg

It could be your boot sequence and or the operating system itself.Glen Lewis :-kewl[email protected]

You mean the computer does the start up sequence(POST) but instead of starting Windows it boots into the BIOS? The CMOS is the complementary metal oxide semiconductor.I guess it would matter what mobo your running but look through the BIOS,is there a setting that automatically sends you to the BIOS on startup. I've got an ASUS board,I can't recall if there is such a setting,I'd have to look.David
