April 19, 200323 yr I have a Logitech optical mouse that constantly flickers in FS2002 when active which also causes stuttering. When inactive the stuttering stops and the flight is as smooth as silk. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and found a fix? I do not experience this problem with any other game or application. I have the latest Logitech mouse drivers installed.System:DellP4-2.66WinXP W/updates512mb ram128mb DDR ATI radeon 9700 w/ latest drivers System: Rysen 7-9700X, MSI Pro X870-P WiFi AM5 Motherboard, Team T-Force Delta 64 GB DDR5 6000 Mhz, Corsair RM1000x80 PLUS Gold, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Super Windforce 12GB OC, NVIDIA Drivers 610.47, 2TB WD Blue SN580 NVMe m.2 SSD for Windows 11 Home, 2TB WD Black SN850X NVMe m2 SSD for MSFS & Steam, LG 27GX700A-B 280 Hz OLED 27" 2560x1440 280Hz Monitor, Thrustmaster Airbus flight stick, Logitech M510 wireless Mouse.
April 19, 200323 yr I had this also. The reason for me was that I didn't use the default pointer. When I changed back to the default pointer it was back to normal again.
April 19, 200323 yr Author Thanks, I gave that a try but it didn't help. April 19, 200323 yr I have not personally experinced this problem but what i would do is go to the logitech website and download the lastest version of mouseware for your mouse. It also could be video related to FS2002 you could proboly try a few tweaks . I do not know of any tweakers for the radeon 9700 so I would head over to www.rage3d.com and see what they have . this is kind of the guru3d.com for ATI though :) good luck Capt.Richard Dillon (KATL)www.jetstarairlines.comhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg"Lets Roll" 9/11 -----------------------Specs AMD 2400 XP MSI KTV4 512MB DDR 2100Asus GF4 ti 4200 128MBSB Audigy Gamer Ch Products Yoke and Pedals(usb)Windows 2000 Serivce Pack 3
April 19, 200323 yr Try this:In your advanced display settings turn down hardware acceleration one notch. This will not affect the performance of your crd as far as FS2K2
April 19, 200323 yr Author >>In your advanced display settings turn down hardware acceleration >>one notch. I saw this on another thread and tried it but it didn't help. Also have the latest logitech mouseware and ATI drivers installed. Even tried running it with the default XP mouse driver. Strange that it only flickers when fs2k is running, when I pause or access the options screens it's fine. Guess I'll just limit my mouse use as much as possible because as soon as the pointer becomes inactive the program runs great without any pauses or graphics anomalies. This is a new computer system....I did not experience this problem using the same mouse with my previous system, an amd-1.4 w/geforce3-200 card and win98sp. April 20, 200323 yr >Removed Logitech mouse.....installed cheap Dell>mouse...problem solved!Actually put a bandage on the problem..LOL. Couple of questions. Did you change the batteries if it is a cordless?. Did you flip it over and with a Q-Tip and some alcohol clean off the receiver and transmitter LED's?. Did you recently change type or style of mouse pad?. If it was cordless did you try changing the channels(Hitting reconnect). All of the above could have contributed to your problem. If your happy w the mouse your using cool. If you'd like your Logitech back try the above tips. :)Bobby
