June 6, 200322 yr I wish to upgrade my 'puter with a new Motherboard/Processor/Memory.I wish the Motherboard to run at 800Mhz and utilize 512M of PC3200 memory with a PIV 2.8 Mhz rated at 800Mhz.I am torn between the ASUS P4C800 and the INTEL D875PBZ.Anyone with experience or opinions on these two boards? Thanks in advance for your help.Glenn Willmot
June 6, 200322 yr I'm in the process of building up a new rig too. Both are, i understand from reading a lot on the subject, excellent. The main difference (there're others though but of no consequences for me) is that the overclocking capability of the Intel is almost non existant, the Asus being on the contrary vey capable in this regard. Both will accept Intel new generation of cpu, the Prescott.you can get a lot of infos here http://www.abxzone.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=41Dominique
June 7, 200322 yr If your into OC'ing the Asus baord is hard to beat right now. Currently running that board w a 3 GHz P4C at 250Mhz FSB which is 100% stable at over 3.7 Ghz. :)Want major stability and piece of mind. The Intel is hard to beat.Bobby

Your right though..That IS another discussion :)Bobby
June 24, 200322 yr Suggestion:Asus P4P800 Deluxe in place of the P4C.(Check Tom's Hardware Review). The way I read it, you get the same essential performance between the two chips for considerably less money.Good Luck:RTH
