For the past 18 months or so, I have been using a P3/1000, with 512 meg SDRAM and a Geforce2 Mx vid card. I have been quite happy with it -- framerates have been good enough for me - except maybe for some areas like London which I had to avoid. But I have just built an AMD XP2400 based machine with 512 meg DDR ram and a Geforce4 TI4200 vid card. At this stage , I can't honestly say that the sim looks any different to me -- BUT it somehow FEELS different . I have much better FPS of course- and the sim is a lot smoother -- but overall, the difference in the feel of the flying is tremendous. For example, I find it much easier to land - and I am now flying in the 3D cockpit.Basically- a completely different experience!!Barry
