Blurries

Recommended Posts

Guest Stratus_Fractus

I seem to get a kind of blurred texture beyond the line in the pic attached. Is there anyway to get rid of it? Can't be the fps lock, it's at 20 and it stays from 18 to being pegged at 20 unless I fly in large, detailed airports. Thanks,EDIT: Better quality pic.

Excuse the JPEG compression, but that's pretty much how it looks.

Try the following. Find the TERRAIN section in your FS2002.cfg file and use these settings. It looks good on my system but seeing as each system is different, your milage may vary. Also, what video card and drivers have you got. Many times, these blurries are more an issue with the video card than the TERRAIN settings.Good luck!Mike"TERRAIN"TERRAIN_ERROR_FACTOR=10.550000TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=19TERRAIN_TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=8TERRAIN_AUTOGEN_DENSITY=2TERRAIN_USE_GRADIENT_MAP=1TERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=0TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.900000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.900000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=4http://www.members.shaw.ca/madamo/boeingsig.jpg

Well I tried it Mike, seems to oversharpen the scenery and drop the fps by a few. :-( Oh well, thanks for offering your help.

Yeah it does look good. Thats pretty much how my game looks now, and I dont mind it a bit. That looks far better than what my old AMD Krap6-400 with Voodoo Banshee. That machine gave one of the worst cases of blurries ever. I had to deal with that for a year before I got my new comp. My Radeon 7200 rarely does blurries even at max detail. My new comp really isnt too cutting edge nowdays, but it still will do FS2002 quite well compared to other systems.
