Freeware tool to resize screenshots

Featured Replies

Hi All,Long time reader, first time poster. THought I'd get more active in the community. Anyways, all the screenshots i take are in 1152x1024, the resolution i have the game at. Is there a freeware tool to convert the screenshots to the forum rules of so many by so many pixels? Or is there a manual way to do this? Thanks for the help,Funky

You mat wish to try "InfranView" available from Toucows http://www.tucows.com/ CopulaterCookie

I can only say the best about infranview

Well heck, let me give my vote for Irfanview also. Great little program you won't be disappointed. Does what you want and a lot more!http://www.irfanview.com/english.htmPepe

MSPaint that comes with Windows does a fair job too.

Yep, I go with Irfanview too! Has a lot of useful features and FREE. http://www.irfanview.com/english.htm

There's a powertoy for Windows XP that lets you right click on any digital image and dynamically size it to any number of preset or custom sizes with the right-click of a button in Windows Explorer.J

Unfortunately irfanview won't read the bmp files in FS2002 aircraft texture folders - I still have to use imagetool for that (and with lots of activity adding extra AI aircraft, it's something I do frequently). The irfanview author said he might put that function in a future release, but I haven't seen it yet.

Thx for the replies everyone.

GIMP is the best freeware tool I've found. I say "best" because its a fully featured graphics program that rivals Photoshop or Corel photo-paint, and its free.www.gimp.orgcheck it out!Bob Bernstein
