August 11, 200322 yr I have an ABit BD7II, which can accomodate CPU's of either of 400 or 533 FSB. I assume the FSB differences are various clock speeds in order for the P4 to be able to multiply up to the rated CPU speed?I'm wondering what are the effects of either FSB on system performance? I'm running 1G of PC-2100, and currently have a P4 1.8G 400 FSB CPU installed. This motherboard can take CPU's up to 2.8G, but is limited t either 400 or 533 FSB (cannot do 800).I'm also wondering what are the useful effects of a hyperthreading CPU in FS9 (or FS2002)? My understanding is that this means a mobo change (800 MHz FSB), and may not be worth the trouble- unless it does some great things to performance :)Thanks,Bruce.P4-1.8G1G PC-2100ATI 8500ProWinXP Home SP1 ASEL, Instrument. August 12, 200322 yr Speaking from experience, HT doesn't do squat for FS2004. If you're happy with your current system, wait a while for the new intel CPU/Chipset. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
