Using CH pedals : a really tough Q

Featured Replies

I've an old but still good gameport version of the CH pedals but ...First hurdle, I don't have any gameport on my new computer :-hah and anyway I was fed up to have to use, on the old rig, a joystick just to be able to connect the pedals with my USB CH yoke.Could the pedals work connected to an USB port and does the necessary connector (Game to USB) exist ? :-hmmm . That would mean a not unsignificant saving.well, any clues ?Dominique

Dominique,While there may be othere solutions, I purchased a Rockfire USB adapter. Attaches from gameport device (joystick, pedals etc) to USB. I use it for my CH gameport pedals. Although they show up in windows and MSFS as a generic joystick, they calibrate correctly. I purchased mine in the US, but I'm sure they're available in Europe as well.Rick

Appreciate your answer, thanks Rick. Will look into it.So MSFS shows both your yoke (or joystick) and the pedals ?Dominique

Yes. Yoke is CH USB and shows as such. Pedals are gameport through adapter and show as a 4-axis 4-button joystick. I do calibrate in Windows, but I rely on FSUIPC for calibration in the sim. Have never had a problem calibrating the pedals with FSUIPC. Rick
