August 30, 200322 yr 1) How many of you use the trim wheel on this thing (non USB version)? I'd like to use it, but it seems to just adjust the axis of the control input, and doesn't interface with FS at all. That means that it's difficult to reset between autopilot uses because I now have TWO trims, not to mention the fact that it's impossible to tell where the center position is. Do any of you make marks on the joystick to try and mark center position?2) I've owned this particular flight yoke for about 5 years now, and it's getting a little jerky. What kind of lubrication should I use and where may I get it? I know silicon based stuff is probably right, but I don't know what brand or where (preferably online, I live in the middle of nowhere where there's not too many electronics/Radio Shack stores). Thanks,Kenneth
August 31, 200322 yr Kenneth,1) That wheel on the yoke is for calibrating only; it can't be used (well) for trim purposes in the sim. I've mapped elevator trim to the vertical rocker on the left and rudder trim to the horizontal rocker on the right. As for calibrating outside of Windows, I can only suggest using FSUIPC. You can use it when the sim is running to calibrate all axis of your yoke. I think it's pretty reliable.2) As for lubrication, many folks have used powdered graphite, silicone, white grease etc. I've heard good and bad things about every product. I use Labelle 106 Grease; it's compatible with plastic (won't dissolve it) and available at my local hobby store. These are my opinions; you're bound to hear more. Good luck...Rick Rick
