Anyone have any thoughts or experience with what sort of interval thermal compound needs to be re-applied? What would you consider as a reasonable time between cleaning and re-applying?Thanks all,

Hi Ed,I've been using Arctic Silver compound for my CPU's and have never had to re-apply it. Seems to have a good flow to it and whenever I've changed CPU's, the Arctic Silver looks just a fresh as when I first applied it.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 Mechanic

Thanks for the reply, John. I made the post after having had to re-do the compound after about 2 months of use, but it wasn't Artic Silver 3. I have it on order now and hopefully will do a longer job-- the stuff that I'm using now seems to work well but would like to replace it less frequently.Thanks again,Ed Green
