October 14, 200322 yr Hi Tim,there aren't really any settings that are 'best' for D3D, it depends on your applications and personal preferences. Setting all sliders to the right will give you the best picture quality, but not necessarily the best performance. Also, if you run at very high resolutions, you may not need high anti-aliasing, for example. Basically, just experiment with the settings to find what looks and feels best for you.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
October 15, 200322 yr Well, I would imagine your video card is fully capable of driving Flight Simulator at it's highest AA and AS settings, just as mine seems to be (the Radeon 9800). Depending on your screen resolution, you may wish to run high or moderate AA values. The higher the screen resolution, the less "necessary" AA becomes. I'd experiment and set the sliders to taste. I run one notch below full on a screen resolution of 1280x1024.I'd always run full AS filtering - I've found that it just simply looks great. I run 16x AS. I'd think that your card can handle whatever you throw at it, so play around and don't be afraid to firewall the throttles! -Greg
