Overclocking image artifacts?

Featured Replies

I updated to the 52.16s from the 41.09s and now I'm getting this. It's clocked at 260/500 like with the 41.09s (Ti4200 128MB). Could it be the driver? Or just that the card can't handle it, or something else even?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/45154.jpg

FS runs like liquid as well, much faster than before.

:-lol I have never seen that before, well I would put the card back to its defaults, let it cool down then run it at the default and see what happens, or first, uninstall all drivers, install the ones you want to run then run the card at the default stock speeds.

Hmm, well these are running the best for me yet, like 8 fps more than the 41.09s. :-/

Well I would turn off all overclocking and then see what happens.

Thanks everyone for the replies.Gosta, don't think that's the problem since it was working fine before the new drivers, although I haven't checked to see if it happens with other planes.Paul,I'll play around with it later on today and post back.

Hmm, it's gone at default, so maybe these drivers don't handle overclocking as well as the others?

>Hmm, it's gone at default, so maybe these drivers don't>handle overclocking as well as the others? That is very strange.Did you set all of your OC settings back to default before changing drivers? You may have been inadvertently been using some very hgh OC without knowing it.

I'm not sure actually. But in Rivatuner it was showing 260/500. I'll reinstall and try it again.

At 260/470 like it was last night, but the artifacts aren't occuring. Maybe the card was getting heated up more yesterday? :-hmmm

Greg,I have had the same issue. I believe it has nothing to do with the settings. For me, it only happens when I tab out and into FS2K2. All you have to do to get rid of it is to hit the "alt" button twice and it's gone. Everytime you tab in and out of FS you'll have to repeat this. Try it. It worked for me.SP

Hmm, well I could I guess, but I just went back to the 4109s, they run just as fast with better texturing. :-) And overclock nicely. ;-)
