January 14, 200422 yr Hey guys,I've found a new problem now - Ran a test on PCMark and I discovered my FSB is running at 200 MHz instead of 800. I've been searching everwhere, BIOS, Forums, manual and still cannot find why this is happening. The motherboard manaul says nothing about setting the FSB nor does the BIOS have any setting that I can change. If anyone knows or has experienced this same problem, please let me know what I can do. Anyways thanks a lot :)If this will help, I have my PCMark results posted below if you would like to take a look.http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm04=128627
January 14, 200422 yr Hi Mike,I don't think this is a problem. I don't have PCMark, but 3DMark measures the FSB by single rate, so 200MHz x 4 = 800MHz.If your FSB was really 200MHz, your CPU would be running ar 750MHz, which is quite a difference from 3GHz, and I'm sure you would have noticed, if this was the case ;).Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
January 14, 200422 yr The newer Intel CPU FSB's are Quad Pumped. So 4 x 200Mhz = 800Mhz FSB. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
January 15, 200422 yr I see - Wouldn't of made sense why things are running the same. Guess I learned something new with Intel :) Thanks guys
