April 2, 200422 yr What OS are you running? Windows is not going to be too pleased about the hardware change. However, if you're running XP, you can do a repair install of Windows without reformatting your HD - all your other programs will remain intact.Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
April 2, 200422 yr Author Running XP, yes... I might do a fresh install just to let the system entirely "forget" the old hardware... (of course, including reformatting, completely wiping out the whole hard drive, before installing a fresh installation of WinXP) I was thinking, with the new components, the install should go by much faster than it would right now. I'd rather not reinstall if I could get away with it, but it will probably be worth it in the end.
