Hi... I'm upgrading these parts from my computer:Motherboard: MSI MS-6330CPU: AMD Athlon XP 1800+Memory: Kingston 512MB PC133to these parts:Motherboard: ASUS A7N8X-E DELUXECPU: AMD Athlon XP 2800+ (Barton core)Memory: Corsair XMS 512MB PC3200I mainly wanted to know if I should do a reinstall at the time of installing these parts? Any other tips I should know of? Thanks... and sorry for being vague about what I wanna know but if you can think of anything, I'd appreciate it. Todd

What OS are you running? Windows is not going to be too pleased about the hardware change. However, if you're running XP, you can do a repair install of Windows without reformatting your HD - all your other programs will remain intact.Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg

Running XP, yes... I might do a fresh install just to let the system entirely "forget" the old hardware... (of course, including reformatting, completely wiping out the whole hard drive, before installing a fresh installation of WinXP) I was thinking, with the new components, the install should go by much faster than it would right now. I'd rather not reinstall if I could get away with it, but it will probably be worth it in the end.
