Your thoughts on Service Pack 2 with Sims ?

As for myself... I'm going to hold off on the install until I see a bit more about it from end users I think..You going with it right off ? Waiting ?Heard any reliable stories about sim problems encountered ?

Working fine on all my WinXP computers. Running MS Train Simulator, FS2002 and FS2004.Most of SP2 is related to security and you may have had many of the updates already if you kept Windows updated.W. Sieffert

Could it just be the built in firewall that is hurting MP sims/games here and there ?Thanks,

hi guys, anyone having probs. running Janes WWII Fighters with an ATI 9700 or better and SP2? thanks for the info. happy flyin, fm

I don't find the firewall hurts at all, unless of course you fly online, then I would turn it right off, when I game online it gets turned off, but when running FS, no need to, it only gets the weather data.

Where can I download sp2?Regards,Alexander Martin.-----------------------------------Upcoming flightshttp://www.oasismarigot.com/GIF/britannia-logo.gifBAL341A Friday 27th August: EGKK-LGZABAL341B Friday 3rd September: LGZA-EGKK

Sorry everyone.. I just came across a full forum just for SP2 talk..Didn't even see it on Avsim before just nowLooks like it's been up there a while too :-roll Heading on up there...

I have been using it, well for about 2 weeks I think? (Not 100% sure), and really it's easyt to turn on and off, just right click the two computers in the Taskbar, click change firewall settings, then you get to select on or off.

Thanks.. maybe it's something I can live with after all :-)
