No, you don't need to install the SCSI drivers if you plan on using IDE drive(s).Greg

You do not need to install any drivers, because your not going to be using a RAID setup.

Uhhh... don't the SCSI drivers have to be installed with a SATA drive??? I had to install them for my Raptor SATA.Greg

No, his mobo is very new and it has built in SATA controllers, therefore he just has to plug it in and it will work, of course if he's going to use 3rd party controllers or setup RAID he will require driver installation. I do not know 100% for sure if drivers are required, but my friend bought an 80GB SATA hard drive, he then bought a new MOBO and CPU, he just plugged his one SATA hard drive in and away he went.
