November 1, 200421 yr My knowledge in computers is very limited and cannot decide between the two systems which will provide the best performance for the FS2004.I understand that is a debate between INTEL and AMD chip users and I will appreciate any inputs.Kind regards,Alex[1] Area-51
November 1, 200421 yr I would pick the second system but I would also had it built by ProgressSystems and you would get exactly the same spec for some hundreds of $ less (warranty too). But it is your money.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
November 1, 200421 yr Hi Michael,I checked http://www.progresssystems.com/home.html but could not findany place where they build PC's.Regards,Alex
November 1, 200421 yr Ooops...went to the wrong one.Try this: www.progresssystemsinc.com and make sure to go to the forum and ask for a quote. Very friendly place. I got my system from them. And you can ask them for advice about components.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
November 4, 200421 yr I know how difficult it can be for a novice, extremely confusing and very expensive. I'm sure glad that system building is pretty easy these days...you can save allot of dollars.Lets get on to a recommended builder and my suggestion is (along with several friends and many PC magazines) is abspcLink: http://www.abspc.com/app/Series.asp?familyno=25&series=75Btw...I would go with AMD and notice abspc uses only brand-name hardware inside their PC's and is much cheaper then AlienwareGood Luck,
November 19, 200421 yr I recommend the second also just think if you pick the second one FS2004 will scream with no hesitation in Win XP Pro. But When Windows 64 bit OS comes out WATCH OUT DID SOMEBODY SAY WARP SPEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
