December 18, 200421 yr I have an IP address on an XP computer that uses DHCP to obtain a lease from my internet router. Looking at the NIC in DM, the IP address field is grayed out. Is there a command in Run/cmd that will provide the IP name? Or some other way to find it?Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
December 18, 200421 yr I am a little confused about what you are asking. If you press start, right click My Network Places, select properties, double click Local Area Connection, select Support tab, you will see an abbreviated local area connection status. Press the Details button and you will see a detailed loacal area connection status. In device manager, the IP address should be grayed-out since you are using DHCP.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
