Hi Greg,The X850 also has this type of fan that blows the hot air out the back of the PC case through the grilles in the Graphics Card.The fan is like encased in a plastic channel.

The Arctic Cooling part is very quiet and does a better job of cooling (the GPU and case).Well worth the $30.0US I paid for it.Greg
