November 21, 200223 yr I just downloaded the latest AIRAC files ( first time I used this type of file!), but I can't seem to find out where they should be installed, could someone help, please?
November 21, 200223 yr Are you trying to install them in FS2002 and have FS2002 actually utilize them? If so, it ain't gonna happen. AIRAC files are usually for certain payware aircraft that have FMCs. There are also files that have been created for use with FSNavigator and other similar flightplanning software. As for where you install AIRAC files, that depends on which product you are using them with. If it is for JUST FS2002, then no dice.
November 21, 200223 yr Hi Ken G,It's for FSNav 4.5 - though I cannot find any other reference to AIRAC in the FS Nav folder - AIRAC is updated in 4 week cycles so I would have thought there would have been AIRAC files in the original Download?Ken
November 21, 200223 yr The files get installed in the root fsnav folder. Then the FSNAV ODBC must be run to recompile the database with the intersection/airway information.
November 22, 200223 yr Author If you got the files from http://www.navdata.at/ then when you select the data format (FSNav, FSBuild, etc.) there were a few sentences about installation after format selection.
