Easy/Hard to build a pc?

Featured Replies

Im about to start building my new pc in the coming weeks, and just wanted to anybody if theyve got any tips or any major advice before i start....below is my system... Trust 305KS Wireless Optical Desk keyboard & Mouse Bundle085543 44

Specs and components look great...the only question mark (case) was corrected when you decided on the good quality Antec TruePower Power Supply (but is it ATX 2.0 ready...meaning a 24-pin main power connector to the motherboard which is necessary for it to work). The new (correct) version is the ANTEC TPII550 TRUEPOWER 2.0 ATX 12V VERSION 2.0.Have fun with your capable new system...I wish I had it!!!

will my power supply work then or would it be better buying the one you stated?cheers, scott waterworth

The definitive info on PSU's for your chosen motherboard here. Also, OCZ makes a memory specifically tuned for the DFI nF4 board.Greg

You didn't list a mobo but I'm sure you have that under control. Right now I think that AMD64 4000 is the best deal going for the money. There are a few CPU's that are a bit faster but cost twice as much and there are a load of CPU's that are much, much slower and wouldn't give the performance needed.I'd partial to Zalman heat sinks and the fan that sits above it. Cools well and makes very little noise compared to a screaming stock heat sink fan.David
