Ghiom,That's kinda like asking "What's better, the beef or the chicken?" It depends on how you cook it, what else you're having in the meal, what your personal preferences are.Back to your memory choice, it depends on what applications you're running, which motherboard/chipset and what CPU you're using. It's hard to make a blanket statement like that. The only say I could say definitively is that PC3200 is made to run at 2x200MHz so at 2x166MHz, you wouldn't be making full use of your memory. Plus, modern CPUs now have an FSB of 400MHz so at 2x166MHz, you wouldn't be taking full advantage of your CPU either.Sorry not to be of more help.Edwin

I am using AMD 64 bit 3800+ with PCIE 16x x850xt. FSB and memory speed is not linked.actually, after some test, although the memory is 20% "slower" 333Mhz vs 400Mhz, it seems the sim works better/smoother with 2Gig of RAM. less access to the swap file?Comments are appreciatedThanks

It may be the latency settings, AMD64's like low latency RAM and it may be that the RAM that is only 333mhz is a lower latency then the 400mhz therefore giving a better result. The best would be to get 400mhz ram that is low latency.
