Hi All, I am preparing to build a system and was wondering if the 7800GTX is enough of an improvement over the 7800GT to warrant the extra investment as far as FS is concerned. the system will have an Asus A8N SLI MB and an Athlon64 4000+ CPU

I would say "no". In FS9, you wouldn't even see a difference between a 6800 and a 7800GTX, as FS9 is dependant on the CPU much more than the video card. I read the 7800GT is just a little slower in tests than the GTX, but the 7800GT is the better bang for the buck. However, some other games (if you play them) may show a difference between the cards.I recently sold my 6800 to a friend and bought a 7800 GTX and saw no difference in FS9 at all. Even with Battlefield 2, I saw no difference. I havent tried other games yet, but as of now, I wish I had spendt my money on something else.Rob
