I have just started building a new system using an Enermax CS-718 case and have found this wire which originates from the front panel. It looks to me like some sort of temperature sensor but the manual makes no reference to it. Hi George,Yes indeed looks like some kind of temperature probe. I guess you can place it at wherever you would like to know the temperature. The middle of the case may make sense just to know that sufficient airflow is passing through the case? But really, it's your choice.Hope this helps.Edwin

Thanks Edwin.The case has a "wind tunnel" which covers the cpu/memory area of the motherboard between the input and output fans. I guess I should place the sensor near the two graphics cards, which will be in SLI mode, and are outside the "wind tunnel" then add another exhaust fan.George
