ActiveX problem (not FS related)

Featured Replies

This question is in for our daughter who is visiting and has a problem running Pocket DJ software. When she tries to run the app she gets an error "There is a problem with the skin you are using, either the ActiveX controls have not been registered or there is a missing file".I'm unsure as to whether I can download "ActiveX" from somewhere (MS I presume) and re-install it; or should I reinstall DirectX? I've done some searching on ActiveX and all I see in responses to others with this problem is complaints about IE.....Strangely, she has other users set up on her PC and it runs OK on their accounts- so I assume that this is not OS related? Thanks for any answers, and sorry for the off-topic.Bruce.

Hi Bruce,In IE, select tools, manage add-ons, select "Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer" than click on add-on you want to update, then click on Update Active X.For further info, open Windows Help and Support Center, type "active x", and browse the topics, especially, "Running scripts and active x controls...".W. Thanks- I appreciate the help. How's the flying going? The 50/60 mph gusts out here keep me earthbound at the moment, its been a very dry and windy winter so far. Bruce.
