October 24, 200619 yr Well, I won't be buying a machine capable of running osx well enough to enjoy it any time soon...So I'm wondering - what are the "minimum specs" to be able to run a fairly tricked-out FS9?By that I mean with many options on or all the way up, constant 24 fps, great graphics with AA, and whichever add-ons are generally thought of as the most system-taxing? (including nice airports..)I understand this is a fairly esoteric exercise... but I'm interested in your opinions!I figure if I can spend 1/6th or 1/8th of what's needed to "really enjoy" fsx, I'm in good shape..thxAndrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
October 26, 200619 yr Hi Andrew,Well, im getting full fluid performance well over 24 (locked at 35FPS) constant even in the dense areas with like the Digital Aviation Cheyenne, D0-27, PMDG47 etc.. So here you have some input from my area mentioned in my sig :-)..
October 26, 200619 yr Author Thanks Davis - I see those processors are only about $150; any idea about how much for the system?(no monitors, peripherals or anything - just the system..)thxAndrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
October 27, 200619 yr Andrew,Well just the system in my sig, the mobo was around $60ish so all in all cheap, and runs very good. They only thing that really raised the prices are the perips. So i dont think you can nowadays do much better for FS9 anyway, less than 250ish for CPU and Mobo.
