Hi all, just want to know how many folks have used NVIDIA nTune 5.0 with their setup and noticed better performance on their machines. Could there be a chance that using automatic setup configuration could ruin your machine? I really nervous about tweaks and overclocking.http://www.nvidia.com/object/ntune_5.00.06.06.htmlThanks,Bill

Just tried nTune today Bill. VERY impressed! I let the program run in auto tune (do the long version, more precise) be patient, takes 3 hrs and you WILL get lock ups and freezes but very easily and automatically handled by nTune. It gave me some, IMHO, very impressive overclocked performance. It automatically loads the overclock profile. I can load it up at start-up or you can have it load a particular performance profile when FS is started.I know this is not an "acceptable" method of overclocking for the OC "purists" and experts out there. But, for someone like myself who is not at all comfortable or knowledgeable enough to change mem timings FSB speeds etc through the Bios, it's perfect.I Like it! Thanks

Hi Bill,Well I keep frames locked at 22 and maintain that everywhere. I did "uncap" them after I ran nTune and, for example, at KATL on the ground I'm getting 22-25. In the air 35+ all the time. This is in FSX.Most all slider maxed or close. No bloom, no Aircrat AI, 2X water.

I've used nTune 5.0, and still running tests. I've gained a 5fps minimum. I was running at a pretty solid 15 in low VFR flights, and now it's about 20. Climbing to higher alt, it goes in the low 30s. I've also been told not to use it by the serious OCers at DFI Street. I've been OCing my rig in the bios like they said, but it's not easy, and can't get the same performance out of it. The only advice I would give is to watch your temps, and make sure you have enough voltage for OCing. Jim
