Dear all!!!I have a serious problem on my FS9. I'm using Dell Dimension 9150 with P-D 2.8G, 1G DDR2, Nvidia 6800 and Creative sound card. It has been acting so weird on my FS9. Every time I fly like an hour or so, FS will quit itself WITHOUT any warning!!!! I don't have a clue on what's happening. I've been formatted my computer (I have the Window XP CD from Dell) and uninstall my FS un-numberable times. But this problem still happen!!!!! Never had any problem with my DIY before. The only add-ons I installed is LVL-D767, PMDG 744+F, AVS, and Active Camera.Anyone has a similar computer spec or using 9150 as I do but not having any problems playing FS??? That hold me back from getting the new FS since i don't want to spend 50/60 but cannot play it at all. Please Help Me.......thanks so much!!!!---------------------------------------Vincent (VHHH)

Hi Vincent,Hmmm at first it would seem to me that you are having memory leak issues, however you state you have NO add-on scenery installed right?... Are you sure that you have correctly installed you GPU and DirectX drivers? (and all your system drivers) If so have you tried installing them again?.. If that is to no avail. id suggest checking your RAM.. if your DIMMS are faulty it can produce similar issues.. Run this program to test them http://www.memtest86.com also you can have a look at a program called Filemon found here http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Filemon.html with that you can see what file causes fs to close or more to see what the last file is thats fs called up.Hope this helps you on your way.

Hi there, I tried your MEMTEST program and ran completed 9 tests (the 10th is going on but I stop it....) So far i passed all 9 of them.......So I don't really think is the Mem problem.....seems I should say good-bye to FS till I Build my computer next time :-hang---------------------------------------Vincent (VHHH)

Yesterday I tried to fly a leg from PANC to RKSINot long after crz/ing I got an error said the ntdll.dll created a fatal error and FS9 need to close. Although that's bad but I at least got an error message. Usually I WILL NOT get one and the FS just closes itself.I'm wondering will that be a problem of Dell's Window XP problem.

Did you install the FS 9.1 update after your last reinstall of FS9? Could be the dreaded seasonal scenery CTD that existed prior to the FS9.1 patch.Do you see the same if you fly with the date set to sometime in middle of summer?RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

This is a long shot but if you have your system overclocked set it back to normal and try again.I know overclocking can cause this kind of instability and it may not show up until you have your system taxed with a program like a flight simulator. (My little PC was overclocked and choked on FSX but it appeared to run fine when I did not have FSX running. My system gave errors which looked like a faulty hard drive sometimes during re-booting and most of the time just started to re-boot without anything showing up to guide me when the problem showed up. The last thing I checked was the CPU clocking and all was fine after setting it back to normal speed except for the primary hard drive that got trashed from the system trying to repair files that were not bad as a result of the overclocking problem.)One more thing, when power supplies start to get bad they can cause things like this. I wish I had a program that could monitor the power supply which I could suggest for you. On a personal note I use a recording multi meter to monitor PS problems. ( The advantage of being into Amature Radio, I have gobs of electronic test equipment laying around my shop.)Just a long shot of a guess but best of luck to you on this one.Other than that what the folks here have recommended seem like a good course to follow.Monty Howard - N9ZN (Amature Extra Class)
