FS9 Upgrade

Featured Replies

Ha, good question! Well, having thought about this one for a WEEK(!) :-) Johan, the GPU would be the last item I'ld exchange for FS9. I'ld 'CPU first' and then straighten out the RAM. Finally, the GPU based upon the previous experiences and improvements. IMHO, a 8800 is almost viciously hi-end for FS9. ;-) AIM, if you don't intend to or use Geforce dependent FS items, I'ld opt for an ATI. My personal reasoning: Slightly less bugs in FS and currently better driver support. That vs more versatile... Tough choices... :-) Good luck and kind regards Jaap

Hi Davissan, you MUST be in FS tengoku! :-) Ok, new proposal: Hows about you hopping into your plane and performing a personal delivery instead of sending it?!? :-) That's much nicer and Switzerland is a very, very pretty country! ;-) Anyway, thanks for the read-up. Apppreciated. It's going to be interesting. My wait is more for standard 2GB modules than affordable. Luckily, the situation is changing by the week. I'm just trying hard to hold off until H2... :-) 'Fortunately', today I learned my speakers need a 1100 Euro job. Does it facilitate holding off? :-) FYI, I've been working on a few things beyond FlyTendos themselves lately, I'll post some screenshots of my 'FS Tengoku Project' soon - hopefully... :-) Cheers and kind regards Jaap

konbawa Jaap... haha yes yes, well i'm in two heavens, both drift and FS tengoku (recently got my new car) :(.... Switzerland, hmm sound like a good proposal lol not regarding my cpu, but im sure i need to go visit you there then sometime ;) Yeah seems ram is going the ok direction for now, hope it stays like that and not getting another major market price shift. wow 1100 huh, what speakers you have, me curious :( Cool, looking forward to your fs tengoku pics... btw check your PM ;)
