Having second thoughts:I'm still working on a videocard for fs9. I'm running a X1950 Pro 256, got it today, store has the 8800gts 320 for $112 more. I'm running a 22-inch CRT with a 10-inch second for RC4. Right now 1280X960, will GTS make 1600X1200 more usable?Kay

Hi Kay,If your comparing the 8800 to the 1950, Id say if you want that GTS 320MB, it should do you good, and i wouldn't consider it overkill going from DX9 to DX10.On that note though maybe best to hang on a bit longer and see how things will end up with the DX10.1 hardware. Now visually the 10.1 won't give anymore amazing looks over the 10.0 cards, because its mainly a "code-cleanup + with a few extras", one point though one needs to know is that later on (as of so far mentioned reports 07/09) games designed specifically for 10.1 won't run utilizing full potential on 10.0 hardware. Preliminary reports indicate that the DX10.1s will run all DX10 games AND DX10.1, but the DX10.0 wont beable to take advantage of some of the implemented codes in a DX10.1 coded aplication.Again, $112 is a steal, but maybe you want to wait, (no clue for how long due to still alot of uncertainty).. your call ;)
