January 19, 200818 yr Hi all,I have a Dual Core AMD Opteron 185 on an ASUS A8V Deluxe mobo. I just installed a EXOS2 liquid cooling system,So I over clocked to 3Ghz. Everything is fine,90F @ Idle, except I no longer can detect my 2 Maxtor hard drives on my 2 SATA ports(they were working fine before the over clock). I tried reinstalling the asus sata drivers with no luck. I am pulling my hair out on this,Any help on this would be great. January 20, 200818 yr Author Thanks for the reply!:-) I changed the AGP/PCI frequency in the bios, and that did the trick!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/183586.jpg Jim Driscoll, MSI Raider GE76 12UHS-607 17.3" Gaming Laptop Computer - Blue Intel Core i9 12th Gen 12900HK 1.8GHz Processor; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 16GB GDDR6; 64GB DDR5-4800 RAM; Dual M2 2TB Solid State Drives.Driving a Sony KD-50X75, and KDL-48R470B @ 4k 3724x2094,MSFS 2020, 30 FPS on Ultra Settings. January 21, 200818 yr I had some related issues with an ASUS A8V board: when overclocking my X2 4800+ (939) above 2.8GHz the SATA drives were not recognised properly - they seemed to run ok but after about four or five restarts there would be significant file corruption. That's even with the AGP/PCI lock engaged! Eventually I changed to an MSI board and now my drives are fine with a 3.0GHz overclock*.Anyway, I see you already got this working so this may not apply (and I hope it doesn't) unless you intend to overclock further. Geoff* Only two of the four SATA ports of my new board can be locked - the other two give serious problems so they are disabled and I have a third storage drive on a PCI SATA board...
