January 12, 200323 yr I have just returned from a vacation in New Zealand, and flew back on a UA B777. I assume these a/c need an ETOPS approved routing over such vast oceanic distances. Does anyone know of such an ETOPS route between these two airports?Thanks,Bruce.PS. For a 12 hour flight, and the fuel it must take to fly a fully loaded 777, I was surprised at the take-off performance- very fast acceleration and takeoff, almost seemed like a local domestic flight :).BK.
