charts

Featured Replies

hi everyonethis question may have been asked before im sorry if it wastes your time but does anyone know of a site where i can get hold of sids/stars for different airports?many thanks#dom

Hi Dom,There are various sources for charts:If you're looking for charts of the United States, go to http://www.myairplane.com/databases/approach/index.php and click on "Standard Terminal Arrival Charts" or enter an airport ID.If you're looking for European charts, go to http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/eadexplorer...tectPlugin.html.It takes some time to load, but once you see the overview screen, you'll have access to all the charts within Europe. When you're looking for a specific chart, double-click on PAMS. Then select the right authority code (country) and set AIP-type to charts. If you wish, you can also enter a search text. Finally, click refresh and you'll see all charts that match the search criteria.Getting charts of another part of the world is usually more difficult, but you can always try https://164.214.2.62/products/digitalaero/index.cfm. Scroll down to "Terminal Instrument Procedures" and click on the continent that your airport is in. :)Kind regards,Koen

thank you koen i shall try these dom

Koen, one question. The download site for Europen charts is great, but does it also have HI ALTITUDE ENROUTE charts , if so where do you look for them.I had no luck so far. ThanksNebojsa

Hi Nebojsa,Not all countries have their high altitude enroute charts uploaded to the EAD Explorer (due to the big file size), but I'll give you an example how to get the high altitude enroute charts for the UK:You load the EAD Explorer as described in my earlier post, then you select authority code EG, AIP type charts and click on refresh. Then you scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the filenames EG_ENR_6_3_2_1_en.pdf (the south sheet) and EG_ENR_6_3_2_2_en.pdf (the north sheet). If you right click on the filename, you can view or download it. :)A few other countries of which you can also get the high altitude enroute charts are: The Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Spain and Portugal. I didn't check the others, but I know the enroute charts for France and Germany are not available at the moment (files too big to upload).Cheers,http://home.planet.nl/~duijn181/cu2/koen.jpg http://home.planet.nl/~duijn181/cu2/deer.gif

Thank you, KoenNebojsa
